NYC Recap + Clavon Leonard's Soho Launch Party

& We're back! The month has been very hectic so I apologize for the lack of posts.. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting close friends and connecting with new friends in NYC!

The energy is exhilarating in NY, and I can honestly wander for hours just walking the streets. Here was one of my outfits:

This vintage denim jacket is one of my staple jackets & was the perfect weight for the temperature (upper 60s). I paired with a plaid & lace slip dress that I picked up from Zara.

Brunch: Ella's upper west side; quaint vibe & bottomless mimosas for $12/person.

Post-Brunch with my Cali Sister (PSA we've been best friends since kindergarten) Always keep the friendships close that pick back up exactly where you left off, regardless of how long it's been!

For a Swanky Lobby Bar: Empire Hotel near Lincoln Center. They're offering 30% off hotel rooms right now!

For a culinary escape: Eataly, Flat Iron District. If you can't make it up there, you can shop their products online & have fresh tagliatelle pasta delivered to your door.

I was graced with the opportunity to attend Clavon Leonard's grand opening presentation party for his new location in Soho. Thanks to Lavina, @stylebymufasa, who is another VA native stylist. She is killer & real as they get! Ironically enough, we've been trying to link up for months & made it happen in NYC.

Clavon Leonard's collection features a variety of menswear, sportswear, womenswear and leather goods. His styles have been featured in British Vogue & will be in the upcoming issue of GQ. The details in his patterns are what truly caught my eye.

I'd definitely wear some of these men's button downs, especially the sun flower one with a leather skirt & thigh-high boots? Yes please!

Here are a few of the pictures from Clavon's feature in British Vogue September 2017. Wishing you ample success & growth in the future!

This was a quick trip & I plan to be back before the end of the year. I only had a few pieces of content to share as this trip was spent mainly catching up with my best friends.. I'm back on a regular schedule now & looking forward to creating fresh content for you all!! Next up later this week will be a recap of RVA's Fall Formalwear Show which benefitted Dress for Success.

Til next time NY....

xx,

Madison
